End of Year Message For 2006
Diocese of USA, P O Box 2331, Bowie, MD 20718
December 12, 2006.
To: ALL DISTRICT SUPERVISORS, ALL SHEPHERDS, ALL PARISHIONERS
Dear brethren in the Lord,
May the enduring perfect peace, love and redemptive grace of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ continue to abide with you all.
We are writing to express our most profound appreciation, and thanks for the wonderful support, understanding and sincere cooperation that have been extended by all parishioners, officers, and shepherds to both the district, regional, diocesan, and pastoral administrations of this great church during the outgoing year 2006.
We are sincerely appreciative of your spiritual, financial, and moral support to the district and regional administrations, but more importantly, to your unflinching faith in Celestial Church of Christ as the end-time Vessel of Salvation.
Year 2006 has, without doubt, remained a year of relative peace, steady progress, and sustained spiritual growth within the entire body of Christ in the region. The year’s harvest Services reflected improved ecclesiastical discipline, and higher spirituality in a number of parishes while a few parishes are still struggling with the syndrome of the past. On the whole, however, it was a very successful harvest season marked with love, peace, solidarity, and God’s blessings. Most choirs were also notably wonderful. New songs of praises and exaltation were released in glorification of God rather than man. It was a great holy convocation and a sacrifice of sweet odour, acceptable and well pleasing to God. May the good God of reciprocity keep you and give you peace, bless you and prosper the work of your hand, and may He grant you, all, the joy of eternal salvation. We shall, by His grace, celebrate many more harvest seasons in the land of the living.
We are, indeed, very grateful.
Christmas terminated the era of hopelessness for mankind and proclaimed
the dawn of another era – an era of peace, love and hope of eternal glory
through Him who is the radiance of the glory of God and the representation
of all the attributes of God, the Father. Christmas, is a celebration of the birth
of Peace, birth of divine love and birth of the joy of eternal Salvation. It is the Celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
At Christmas, the perfect love of God, the Father, was revealed to mankind
Perhaps we should also remind you once again this year, that during this glorious season, you should, as a true heir to the Kingdom of God, also provide friendly gifts that are truly reflective of divine love, peace and hope to someone in your family, among your relatives, in your neighborhood and in your church. Let the less fortunate, the handicapped, the orphans, widows and the laborers in the Vineyard know that you care, and so store up treasures for yourselves in heaven. As you do this, may the good Lord of reciprocity repay you in folds.
More importantly, however, kindly take a spiritual inventory of your past and make a sincere atonement to those that you have offended, forgive and forget the sins of those who have offended you, and make a new year resolution to, henceforth, be a source of peace and joy to your neighbors, a fountain of peace and progress to the church and a yielding vessel of glory unto God. This is the most rewarding resolution for the new year. Remember that obedience is the key to the heart of God.
Year 2006 is fast departing leaving smiles on a number of faces and sorrow on the hearts of some amongst us. As we celebrate the gifts of joy let us also remember to pray for quick restitution for all those who have been devastated in one way or the other during the outgoing year. May the in-coming year 2007 be a year of full restoration of joy to them all.
On behalf of the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Church, Pastor Emmanuel Oshoffa, the Board of Trustees, the Pastor –in-Council and the Diocese of USA, the Council wishes all members a merry Christmas and a joyous, peaceful, fulfilling and most prosperous 2007.
May the love of the everlasting Father, the grace and peace of our Savior Jesus Christ and the communion of the Holy Ghost remain with you forever and ever. Amen.
