Performance Evaluation and Projection for Year 2005

Region ‘A’ Executive Council

Brethren in the Lord,

Another year is fast running out with a lot yet to be achieved in the laudable program set out in our blue print for the year 2004.

At the inception of the year 2004, the following projections were made:

q       Spiritual  re -armament in form of  dynamic and resourceful Evangelical Movements,

q       Rotational Bible Classes within each district.

q       Responsive Prayer warrior groups.

q       Intra and inter-parish women evangelism.

q       Organization  of a number of Training and Retreat Programs.

q       Inculcation of computer rudiment into our clergies for internet access.

q       Improvement of moral, ethical, and ecclesiastical standards within the diocese .

q       Effective management accountability.

Without mincing words, it is very evident that we have not archived much, mainly because of  various  intra diocese and inter regional squabbles, suspicion, mis-information and struggle for ranking and positions. The entire body of Celestial Church within USA remains the most factionalized, polarized and politicized in the entire Celestial Church world. But we strongly believe that our Lord will soon intervene to restore a lasting peace, love and oneness.

However, we remain grateful to God Almighty and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for the following modest achievements:

q       Effective consolidation and stabilization of our parishes within the region.

q       Remarkable improvement in moral, ethical and ecclesiastical conduct.

q       Effective cooperation, love and unity of purpose within the region.

q       Recognition and respect for the hierarchical  set up within the region

q       At least, we had one very successful training retreat.

q       We had five very successful general Meetings/Conferences.

q       Establishment of corporate norms in our Conferences and Meetings .

q       Effective Management accountability.

q       Stability in all the Parishes except Miracle and Calvary parishes that are still going through resolution process.

The year 2004 has, thus, been expended in establishing a solid foundation and a strong bedrock on which our initial projections both spiritually, administratively and training- wise would be built in this coming year 2005.

The holy Trinity being on our side, the Executive Council of this region resolves to vigorously pursue and effectively actualize our initial Plans of Action:

q       Spiritual  re -armament in form of  dynamic and resourceful Evangelical Movements,

q       Rotational Bible Classes within each district.

q       Responsive Prayer warrior groups.

q       Intra and inter-parish women evangelism.

q       Organization of a number of Training and Retreat Programs.

q       Inculcation of computer rudiment into our clergies for internet access.

q       Improvement of moral, ethical, and ecclesiastical standards within the diocese .

q       Effective management accountability.

In addition, we intend to carry out the following in the New Year.

q       In February and March 2005, Organized Pilgrimage to the holy land and Saint Peters Basilica in Rome. The first group will go in February and the second group in March.

q       Quarterly off-shore Voice of Celestial News Letter will be launched by God’s grace.

q       Formation of Regional Central Choir and training of Choir members both at district and regional levels on new songs and appropriate ecclesiastical codes.

q       Establishment of new Parishes shall, henceforth be, either under the planned initiative of the Regional executive council or as provided under Article X111  of USA diocese legally registered Bye-Laws and Article.

q       We are already exploiting the possibility of Radio Transmission of the Good News of the Messiah.

q       Re – invigorate and take our Youth Ministry to a laudable level.

q       Promote and stimulate conduct of our Services in English to attract non Nigerians into the fold. The revised version of our Hymn book is considered very crucial for this purpose.

q       Setting aside of the last week of September every year for the celebration of the Founder’s day with festival of  songs, powerful evangelism  and Thanks offering.

A number of Parishes have displayed remarkable sense of responsibility and total commitment for the success of the Church by paying their Pastoral Mission dues religiously while others are still trying to catch up. Pastoral and Harvest incomes received from the region up to November 30, 2004 totaled $33,546.00.

The Council appreciates, in all sincerity, your wonderful support and would continue to pray for your progress individually and as parishes.  We are profoundly grateful to you all. There will be an update of the Financial Report at the end of the year.

Perhaps we should remind you all that all parishes are required to turn in their total Class Fees and Imeko Fund Collections for the entire year before December 31, 2004. The Collections must be taken to Imeko at the end of this year.

Once again, we most sincerely thank you for your wonderful support and cooperation throughout the year 2004.

We wish you and all members of your Congregation a merry Christmas and a most peaceful and prosperous New Year. May the new year be a year of fulfillment for you and your families.

For all those who will be traveling, may the good Shepherd grant you traveling mercy.
